Biodiversity, Fire, and Fuels Integrated Plan (BFFIP)
The Biodiversity, Fire, and Fuels Integrated Plan (BFFIP) describes actions that Marin Municipal Water District will take to minimize fire hazards and maximize ecological health on its watershed lands.
The Mt. Tamalpais, Nicasio Reservoir, and Soulajule Reservoir watersheds constitute approximately 22,000 acres of publicly accessible wildlands characterized by both high wildfire risk and high biological diversity. The BFFIP builds on the success of the 1995 Vegetation Management Plan and does not include the use of herbicides for vegetation management.The BFFIP has been revised since it’s initial posting on September 15, 2016.

The Board will have a Public Hearing on October 15, 2019 to consider the BFFIP EIR.
