Bald Hill Broom Bust with Marin County Parks

Celebrate Earth Day with Marin Water and Marin County Parks for our annual Bald Hill Broom Bust! Volunteers will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom monocultures and also eradicating pioneer patches. The gathering location is Sky Ranch Open Space at the top of Crest Road in Fairfax. Folks can hike, bike or carpool to the site. Parking is limited at the top – to carpool or follow a staff member driving up the hill, meet at Deer Park at 8:45 a.m. Hiking takes about 40 minutes from Deer Park. For more information and directions, visit the event map.

Tools, gloves, water, and an optional lunch at 12 p.m. will be provided. Please dress for variable weather, wear close-toed shoes with ankle support and bring a water bottle.
