Redwood Drive Pipeline Replacement - Fire Flow Improvement Program

Two white pipes sit on the side of the road in the foreground. In the background, a construction crew works on a trench.

A component of the District's Fire Flow Improvement Program, the Redwood Drive Pipeline Replacement Project will install about 4,300 feet of 6-inch, welded steel pipe to replace aging, leak-prone and fire flow-deficient piping in the Town of Ross.

The existing pipelines in this area were installed as early as 1914, making many portions of this infrastructure more than 100 years old.

Construction Update (April 23, 2024): Work has begun on this important rehabilitation project. Crews are beginning water pipe installation. Please heed all construction-related traffic signage, and use caution when navigating construction zones.
