This project involves the installation of about 4,250 feet of new 12-, 8- and 6-inch welded steel pipe to replace undersized, fire flow-deficient and leak-prone 4-inch cast iron pipe.
Construction Update (September 2026)
The Marin Water contractor has completed all pipeline installation. Final pavement restoration has been completed, sealing the pipeline trench and providing a smooth driving surface and improved roadway appearance. Some minor work remains outstanding.
Additionally, Marin County plans to conduct road treatment on Deer Hollow Road sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.
